Kharkov (or Kharkov) region is located in northeast of Ukraine. The territory of the region is 31,400 sq. m (5.2% of the territory of Ukraine). The population is 2,969,900 (6% of the population of Ukraine), with a population density of 95 persons per 1 sq. km. There are 27 administrative districts, 383 village councils, 17 towns including 7 towns of region subordination, 60 townships, and 1694 villages in the region.

Kharkov is the second largest city of Ukraine and the capital of Kharkov region. The city is situated in the northeastern part of Ukraine at the confluence of the Lopan, Udy and Kharkiv rivers. Map location: 50.0N, 36.25E. Kharkov is over 300 sq. km in area. The population of Kharkov is about 1.8 million people.
Kharkov was founded in 1654 when Ukrainian Cassacks built a fortified settlement on the plateau near the Kharkov and Lopan rivers.

Constitution Square office building "Dvorets Truda" or "Palats Pratsy" (on Ukrainian). This Labor Palace is Kharkov's Trade Unions building. Our office is located in this building.
 

Korolenko Library: The biggest library in our city. It's founded at 1886 year.
